Why this archive matters. Most people can name an empire or a hero — few can say what happened in their own country, in order, with sources. Egypt is in Africa; Ethiopia was never colonised; Benin abolished its monarchy under French guns in 1894; Benin the country elected a new president in April 2026. This is the map of that.
